Easter, the season of new life – in Jesus Christ!

Dear Mission Partner,

Welcome to all our Mission Partners and Global’ s web family of friends around the world, connecting via globalcanada.org, web site.

We have lived through an unprecedented year. Never in recorded history has a global plague worked such havoc in every sphere of domestic, social, governmental and spiritual activity as COVID-19. The longer it continues, and the legislative changes implemented to accommodate it, the more we are alerted to Biblical end-times prophetic events. This is yet another reminder that: “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to wake out of sleep: for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed”. (Rom.13:11).

Amidst this world-shaking event, He Who sustains and hold all things together, (Col.1:17), also holds the believer securely in the shadow of His hand (Isa.49:2).

George Beverley Shea of the Billy Graham team, has in recent times, made famous the song, The Love of God. It is believed, mostly composed in the eleventh century by a Jewish Rabbi, named Meir ben Isaac Nehorai. It has included the spoken lines by Shea; “These are days when the world is uncertain and the power of the atom unknown, but a far greater power up yonder ever watches and cares for His own…” That “far greater power…” is in the embodiment of our risen Lord Jesus Christ. He declared; I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore. Amen. (Rev.1:18).

The consequence of man’s Adamic ‘Garden’ disobedience and loss of relationship with his Creator, resulted in the DNA of sin. “…for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God…” (Rom.3:23). “But when the fulness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons”. (Gal.4:4-7). With the coming of Christ, His sacrificial death on the cross, and the shedding of His blood, we can know cleansing from our sin. (1.Jn. 1:7-10). (Heb.9:22).

His death, followed by His resurrection, is what our celebration of Easter is all about. (Resurrection, meaning: being raised never to die again). Jesus declared in His ministry,” …No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again”. (Jn.10:18). In our sin, we will die an eternal death, (eternal separation from God, in the lake of fire) but by faith in the finished work of Christ and in the power of his resurrection, we shall know eternal life. (never to die again). Jesus declared to Martha at the raising (resuscitation to die again; not resurrection) of her brother Lazarus, “…I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die…” (Jn.11:25-26). To believe, simply means to trust in His finished work alone. Therein lies eternal salvation.

Regardless of the inconvenience of COVID, Easter represents new life – a new beginning, by faith in the finished work of Christ. By the power of His resurrection, we who believe in Him, may walk in victory as new creatures. (2.Cor. 5:17).

MINISTRY PROGRESS Except for ministering in person overseas, other aspect of our work is un-interrupted. Even Zoom and Skype assist in so many ways, with teaching or preaching. Several projects are being funded on a monthly basis. Those who contribute monthly are a vital part of these projects, together with those who contribute meaningfully from time to time. Thank you, God bless you!.

We are preparing two evangelists to travel in ministry, reaching their own people.

These are mature married pastors with families, who move in the fullness of the Holy Spirit’s giftings. With your support, this monthly project can launch. It requires advance funding, as we cannot launch them and, in a few months, discontinue through lack of their support. It should be long term, perhaps three years. One hundred and fifty dollars monthly would mostly support one evangelist for travel and ministry expense. In Canada the same project would be thousands monthly. Please make this a prayer request as the Holy Spirit leads.

Praise report Recently, one morning, I had an urgent request from overseas to fund a sizable project, for a ministry we have worked with for many years. We seldom like to stretch our budget with un-planned request. It was a worthy request, but I still hesitated, prayed about it, and in ‘fear and trembling’, decided to fund it. Within an hour the phone rang and ‘out of the blue’ so to speak, Global friends suggested we join them for lunch. Minutes into the luncheon, they handed me a cheque, well in excess of the amount I had just released that morning. When the Holy Spirit is flowing freely, this is how ministry needs are met. PTL! Like the scripture promises; “Even before they call, I will answer, and while they are still speaking, I will hear”. (Isa.65:24).

Our love and prayers are with you.

Have a blessed Easter, in His love!
